How We Picked the Finalists:

We solicited nominations through www.dmagazine.com, plus we threw in our own candidates. After looking through hundreds of nominations, the D Magazine editors narrowed down the pool to 25 semi-finalists. We brought them in for face-to-face interviews, then narrowed down the list to the 20 finalists you see here.

Why She’s a Finalist: “Bee Lee” is fun to say. Saying it is almost as fun as hanging out with the woman who bears the name. The Dallas native and Ursuline grad is all about balance. She participates in charity runs and does yoga and then mixes things up at the Ritz, PM Lounge, and Mi Cocina. She also loves photography; she’s the one her friends go to for her shots of special occasions. Lee serves on the Cotton Bowl Association’s Council. Says one friend of Lee: “She will always do what she’s asked and then go over and beyond and surprise you with something even better.”
