Occupation: Health-care consultant
Why She’s a Semifinalist: The Corpus Christi transplant is an SMU graduate and Bishop Arts District dweller. It’s the perfect place for this food and wine lover, with some of her favorite restaurants and bars in walking distance. But all the dining out doesn’t stop her from hitting the kitchen, and her specialty is whipping up well-known dishes with healthy twists. (Boyle is even considering cooking school classes just to sharpen her skills.) She’s an exercise buff too, hitting the gym regularly and trying different yoga classes. When she gets time off from her job helping people navigate the healthcare system, it’s travel that tops her to-do list, and she hopes to visit every continent. Don’t be intimidated by this 5-foot-9 model-esque knockout: A sense of humor is her favorite quality in others.
Fun Fact: Boyle’s black Pomerian, Sug, is the apple of her eye. “Probably more often than not he’s bad, but I still love him.”
How We Picked The Semifinalists: We solicited nominations through www.dmagazine.com, plus we threw in our own candidates.
After looking through hundreds of nominations, and interviewing dozens of women,
D Magazine editors narrowed the pool down to 20 semifinalists.
