How We Picked the Finalists:

We solicited nominations through www.dmagazine.com, plus we threw in our own candidates. After looking through hundreds of nominations, the D Magazine editors narrowed down the pool to 25 semi-finalists. We brought them in for face-to-face interviews, then narrowed down the list to the 20 finalists you see here.

Name: Morgan Norris
Age: 23
Occupation: Student

Why She's a Semifinalist: She's studying business management at UNT, and is a real estate intern, a model, and an actress. How can she balance her many interests? It's thanks to the encouragement of her family and friends. "I have a really strong support system," she says. Pursuing a career as a full-time actress is her passion, but she's steadily working on getting her master's degree too. "I want to inspire my brothers to do the same thing: go to school and get an MBA," she says. It's not all work and no play, though. Morgan makes time to hit the town with friends. One of her favorite things to do is get dressed up and have a girls' night.

Fun Fact: She just made an appearance on the set of Chase, a locally filmed TV show, as a waitress. She hopes to audition soon and land a bigger role.
